America is a country that is mostly comprised of immigrants. Most of our ancestors came here to make a better life for themselves. Some came to America many generations ago, while other’s family stories are more recent. This is something we all have in common.
Another thing we all have in common is that everyone of us has had to deal with hardship. Regardless of how privileged you are… you’ve had to face difficulties. Sometimes we do well at handling hardships and often we don’t do well at it. But most of the time we keep going. We do the best we can and move on. That’s what Americans do.
A third thing we all have in common is the desire to occasionally retreat from the stress of life. Doing something that briefly takes you away from the rat race. A place where you can stop worrying about all the madness and recharge your batteries.
